My male betta is in a five gallon tank with several fake and live plants. I added three tiny pots in one corner because I was planning to get a few shrimp and thought they would enjoy a hiding place...
I decided no to the shrimp... though one hitch hiked with another fish I brought home, he was put in the betta tank... but disappeared shortly after. :(
Anyways! On to the main point... my betta sleeps under/behind the pots... is this normal? Or is he just unique? Lol.
For a while he was sleeping on a big leaf on one of the plants, but I have noticed when I turn the lights out that he has picked a new spot squished behind the pots... I am not concerned for safety, just curious.

I never thought I would think of a fish as 'sweet'... but he is a cutie! He acts excited when I stare at him in his tank. Kind of like when you come home from work and your dog wags his tail... except he is stuck in a tank... lol.

Sometimes they would even try to jump a few millimeters above water just in anticipation for their food lol
