weird question

All i do for my 2 17g is jus get 2 10l buckets fill one up from the tap, Add dechlorinator, syphon the water out of my tank into the other 10l bucket, add the dechlorinated water to the tank and repeat for the next tank... Works pretty quick for me! :D

I have 4 tanks (see sig)....

I do water changes twice a week....1 tank one day, 3 tanks the next (if I don't do it this way I run out of hot water)...so....the 75gall gets done on Sunday.....the other 3 get done on Monday or Tuesday....the 75gall takes about 10 minutes for the WC....the other three combined take about 15 minutes (including connecting and disconnecting the python from the tap)....

I add dechlor as the water is being added....I know how much dechlor I need and I roughly know how long it takes to fill the tank....

I do a good tank clean on all my tanks once a month....this can involve redecorating if required.....usually tkes half a day

EASY!!!

:p

I can't believe nobody else noticed this. :/

Perhaps all that talk of pythons got someone excited!!

by one tank takes about 30 minutes maintanance a week - I often wonder how the "fanatics manage

I've come to the conclusion there loaded!!! and don't have to worry about working, Space or costs of running!!!

Thats why they haven't answered - Too Modest

This is almost exactly the way I do it, with one exception, I add the dechlorinator to the fresh bucket of water as the instructions for my tank say to add new water directly into the filter and rather than risk any chlorine getting to the biofilters.

This also gives you a bucket of tank water to use for cleaning anything in and putting cuttings and snails in before getting rid.

Also following a tip on here, I've started using the old water to water the house plants and the garden (when dry).

I also had a smile, but I'm apparently a guttermind :p

Depends on how many fish you have in your tanks, in my larger tank the 150g and 125g there isnt to many fish and i have ALOT of filtration on them so i only do 50% water changes once every 3 or so weeks, on the small tanks like 75g 55g and 20g i change them once a week doing a 30% change, but with 9 tanks i know what you mean it can be a pain in the backside.

kev-funny and i must say that i agree!

I spend $ I can't afford. I actually tell my husband that I spend less than I actually do. i'm still looking for a 55g though for when my angels get big. hopefully I'll have it by the holidays.

So that explains your original post!!

I'd turn a blind eye as well with that kind of treatment!!
