Weird Oscar

I just baught an oscar that is medium in size. I have owned oscars before and I know they are notorious for doing odd things. The one I just got seems to just move around when all the lights are off. Once I turn a light on, it goes straight down to the bottom and just lays there in the plants. Like it is hiding or something. Is something wrong?

Water params? Tank size? Other inhabitants?

Most probably it's just still getting used to its new environment and doesn't like the light - could be water quality issues though.
