Weird Long Nose Fish.

The other day I went to a river and caught some fish fry. The fry looked something like this.
Of course the fry was like x100 smaller. Anyone identify this fish for me?

Looks like Xenentodon cancila, needle-nosed gar (although it's not a gar at all really) to me.

Where abouts in the world are you?

I'm in Malaysia. So any idea what does the fry eats? it just swims on the surface. It tried to eat the flake foods but its too big.
When I crush it, the fry didn't even see it O:

i was gonna guess some sort of halfbeak or "needlefish" (sorry my latin names have escaped my since my school days).
