Weird Little Plecs

Hey, we have 2 little plecs that were given to us, and we cant figure out what they are.
They are much smalled than normal L plecs, they look more like a newt.
They have little fins either side of their torso that spread out quite a bit.
The owner ha them for 2 years in a 4ft tank, and they havent grown at all.
We got a spotted plec that was smaller than them, and is now nearly twice the size of them in a month.

Thats them, although ours are striped rather than spotted.

We have our temp at 24, and they seem okay.
They are quite territorial with one another though, as it says, but nothing too major, just a bit of fun.

If you can nudge the temperature down to about 22 C, you'll likely have better results in the long term. Generally these Sewellia type things are easy enough to keep provided they aren't overheated. Lack of oxygen is probably the key issue. Do remember they feed on aufwuchs, and in most tanks won't get enough to eat. Algae wafers can be a good starting place when it comes to feeding them, provided there isn't too much competition. For tankmates, choose animals from similar low-end tropical, fast water habitats -- minnows, danios, cherry shrimps, nerites, etc.

off yur topic but i thought id post here for maximum attention

bad news people my pleco has been alot more active the last few days, well, as in active i mean hes been visible round the tank. However today, hes been sat on the sand hardly as vibrant as normal. Hes made no attempt to hide under my advances, and didnt move at all when i stuck my fingers in the tank to see if hed scuttle off.
