Ok , this is way to hard to explain so just check out the picture. The arrow on the far right points to the weirdest fold that i just noticed yesterday. When the Mojito is flaring, it is still folded. These is a little salt in the water. There also is a plastic plant, but i doubt the folds are the result of cuts from the plants...
The left two arrows folds arnt as major, but still something new to wonder about...

Note: the color of Mojito has not changed from the other pics i have uploaded of him, i just used a different camera. So dont think the color change is a symptom of something :)

Thanks

looks like he is starting to clamp, where the fins clamp up, the first signs of a bacterial infection that could lead to finrot if not controlled. why have you added the salt to the tank?

I would just increase the water changes and keep his tank nice fresh.
is he eating ok, what is the temp of the tank, anyother fish in there with him and do you know your ammonia and nitrate levels?

I had a molly and guppys in the tank a before the betta, and i had salt in for them, i just expected some of the salt to be in there. Ive only added a little sprinke (less then a tsp) when i first got him because the tips of his fins looked injured. Hes active as usuall and eating the same. Theres just 1 oto cat in there with him, they seem to ignore each other. Temperature is 76 degrees. I dont know the nirtate and ammonia, but i will do a water change.
Thanks!

Another little tip to help stop them getting any worse, would be to hold a mirror up to him for about 10 mins twice a day. This will make him flare up and exercise his fins. We had a Betta with the same problem quite a while ago and this helped to get them to unstick......but it can take a while.

3 gallons twice a week? The tank is filtered. Was I suposed to be doing this much water changing all along? Or should I just do this now that he might be sick?

I do a 50% water change once weekly on my Betta tanks...

Ok well thanks, I will deffinatly start doing more water changes. Ive been reading up on the Indian Almond leaf. I know what it does, but would it be beneficiall in this situation? Or should I just do more waterchanges and hope things get better?

Sorry, I just meant 3 gallons twice a week to help him get better. 50% every week is good once he's healthy again.

Haha, ok i was just a little confused. Thanks though. I did a little more then a half water change earlier, and have been holding up the mirror for his tank for about 15 minutes a day. Again ill ask..

Would adding Indian Almond Leaf help him get better or be beneficial in anyway for this little sickness?

Thanks everyone!

It certainly couldn't hurt to add some IAL, but in a 5 gallon I would just put half a leaf. Just float in on the top and after a while it will sink to the bottom. Just make sure to replace it after about 3 weeks as they start to go yucky after a while.
