Weeds: Fish Eat Dead Skin - Season 5 - Episode 502 - Weeds

The program Weeds, Nancy went into a Asian Peticure shop where they put their feet into buckets containing fish.

The fish apparently eat the dead skin,

I'm interested. little fish tickling ma feet and nibbling em , anyone know what fish they where?

They were Garra rufa.


Oddly, I've got 6 garra flavatra that should be arriving today in the mail. In the next couple hours hopefully. I'm so excited! They have the same cleaning behavior, but its not as strong when they are well fed. I my old ones did that behavior though. Was cute of them, I cleaned tank they cleaned me . Its a really odd feeling, I could never stand it if they tried cleaning the insides of my wrists(like were you take your pulse). Heres an old video.

My common plec likes to give my arm a good cleaning everytime I put it in the tank, he does a lovely job and my skin is really smooth. I really should but the other arm in too lol. I dont think I could stand it on my feet far too ticklish

Lol! They have a tank of these fish at a LFS where you can get your hand cleaned!

i hink all fish do it once they get used to you, i have angels,danios, khulis,yoyo loaches,horse face loaches guppies and bettas and they all do it it is really cool when the khulis do it, its like slithery and cute specialy when they try to dig under your hand. bless them
