Wee Update :d

Well another wee update changed nearly everything minus fish and a few plants !

I know it looks good but i feel it's lacking something...Any pointers?

the newer bulbs look a lot better! a more white colour looks more natural IMO.

I dont like the sand (always gives tanks a slightly cloudy water look) but other than that its not bad. Some java moss growing on the stump would look good.

Cheers for comments . I'm going to let the plants grow out a bit most of them are babies or cuttings from other plants so still really small have given them root tab's and my TPN+ should be here on monday so hopefully see an improvement soon

Where would i get Java moss? Lfs never seems to have any

Tank normally looks really clear but just as i was taking pic's last night plec decided to take a wee mad turn and started rubbing himself in the sand kicked it up ! lol

Also when takin pics should my cam be on flourescent or incandescent? lol

i have to disagree with that statement. i and many others have sand with no issues like this at all as long as it is properly washed its fine.

personally all id change is id add some bogwood and a bit more planting to fill in the background a bit more.

agreed, you cant blame the sand for that problem...

Sand looks great. You could add a black background to make the plants stand out more.

cheers for comments it does have a black background but it isn't attached properly...Butit'sgoing to look a hell of a lot diffrent in a few weeks doing a swap for a rio 240 so really happy get an extra 50L

I like it a lot, what kind of water turnover do you have in there? Adding extra water movement might help it clear a bit.

Well i never knew what the turnover for the filter was so i googled it the filter is an Eheim 2226 designed for up to 91Gallon tank.It has a pump output of 247 gallons per hour and filter circulation of 169 gallons per hour.

I also have a small air pump thats designed for a 10G tank got a larger one that needs fixing but will put that in new tank on wednesday when we do the swap

I also think it may be the Mopani wood that's effecting the clarity aswelli did boil it a few times before i put it in was ok for 2/3days but now think it's starting to leech the tannings so going to take it out tonight and boil it everynight til i get new tank

Anyone got any advice on how to do the move without majorly stressing the fish out i have 3 large containers i for fish 1 for plants and the other to put the sand in ...Should i put fish and plants in same container to give them some cover?

Another Wee update ...To me it seems the plants have taken a lil burst in growth i'm now using root tabs on them as the tpn was out of stock. So will see how the fair with the tabs just now
