Lyn is now totally hooked on fish and after moving the table about in the dining room we now have a 6ft gap :)

Lyn really wants another tank (ok so do I but if I at least pretend to be reluctant I wont get the blame for spending loads of money on it :) ). The problem is that I'm really not sure what we would do with a 6ft tank.

I have pretty much kept all the FW tropical fish I want to keep, I have had a high tech planted tank, it definitely wont be a reef tank (can't afford to run 2 large reef tanks) so it would most likely be a FO system. I'm not sure a FO tank will really hold my interest though, we dont have the cash to get anything to unusual in there so not sure what we would do.

So any suggestions for something interesting but not too expensive to do. I already suggested setting up a multiple tank system in the space so we could start breeding some interesting fish (both FW and SW) but I just got "the look" and was told that we will not have our dining room look like the lfs :)

Probably wont happen for awhile as we will be doing it on the cheap but we are looking out for cheap 6ft tanks so you never know :)

How about simply a couple of real big show stoppers in there ..emperor angel, radiata or volitans lion, marine betta, and a group of yellow tangs..or a few asstd of the larger tangs.

I have a similar problem but on a smaller scale - my grandaughter wants to set up my old rio 180 over the summer holidays, with tropicals and I know i will end up looking after it but really can't get up any enthusiasm for the project. So, I'm not much help - although a six footer, what about a puffer

I would kind of agree with that. Some big showstopper fish would be awesome. You could also consider somethin oddball like an eel. Also don't forget some of the larger triggers, they can be gorgeous and active in the tank.
