I cleaned the tank yesterday night, went to a friend's house, came back this morning to a tank like...

I have no idea why! The tank was crystal clear when I left. My mom said my room was not opened so nothing got in the tank. I dunno, help? :(

Is this the new tank that you are fishless cycling?
If so it could be a bacterial bloom which is nothing to worry about as long as there are no fish or invertebrates in there.
It is caused by the a type of bacteria which is not helpful in fish-keeping but they grow very quickly and use up a lot of oxygen in the process.
It should clear quite quickly.
Are you adding ammonia to encourage the friendly bacteria to grow?

It's been cycled before, And no because I finished the cycle? Should I be..? I just cleaned the tank because it was sitting for a day or two without the filter on and the water got a little merky-looking so I completely cleaned everything and just refilled it with new dechlorinated water. It's never happened before...

Did you clean the filter? If so , how?

I might be seeing things but it looks like the tank is only half full of water and if that's the filter (dark gray), back right it isn't sitting fully in the water

Just soaked everything in hot/warm water. There's some water stains on everything that I can't seem to shake. As you can see from the tank in my signature the water line is still there and that same line is around the filter and heater and I can't get it off.

Ok I think you may have killed off the bacteria unless the warm water you cleaned it with was dechlorinated.
How long had the tank been unused?
Have you tried vinegar for the water mark - if it is caused by calcium deposits the vinegar should help but only use where the marks are and rinse it thoroughly afterwards.

It was all dechlorinated, and only 2-3 days because I just cleaned it yesterday. And no I will try that and hopefully that works because it's rather irritating to look at lol. But yeah I've never had this happen to me before. Should I just do another 100% wc to wait and see?
