I was given some strips when I bought my tank ( 1 for ammonia and another that does 5 tests (pH, Nitrate/nitrite etc)

Made by King British.

Are these OK for monitoring my water quality are should I be doing some wet testing or using better strips ?

The only thing that seems to be enjoying my tank is a growing number of snails

Strips are better than nothing, but liquid/tablet ones are far more accurate, so would be much more preferable.

General consensus is the API Master Liquid Test Kit is the best.

Test strips are notoriously inaccurate and although the API kit is expensive you get around 800 tests per kit.

API kit ordered off amazon, just over £20

Will start cycling once its here

I remember when I first bought my API master kit, paid far to much for it but is an essential part of my kit. :good:
