I have noticed that my water temp is high 84-86 F. I have unplugged my heater and its still high. I believe its from the room temp being high. My area is going through a heat wave with daily temps in the high 90's and hitting 100 before this weekend. How can I bring my water temp down?

Add a bottle of frozen (dechlorinated) water to the tank.

I water change could also be very effective - but the water would need to be added slowly to the tank so that the change in temperature is slow.

Make sure your water surface move a lot, add a powerhead if needed, worst thing to do is to unplug you heater, water could change in the night and that can stress you fishes, I leave mine around 28.5 , during the day go around 30 C and during the night drop to 28.5C. The important is that your surface move enough to allow O2 being send to your tank
