Water Stats

Well i got my test kit today and i wondered what is best to check:

The stats of my water in my tank with my fish
or
The stats of the water out of my tap
or
The stats of water that i have left to stand for 2 days? ( if this will have any changes to the stats than when it came out of the tap)

Check your tank water, as this is your main concern to make sure your water is in good health.

Also check your tap water, just so you know if you have any toxins, that you can make changes accordingly.

Water from your tap that has been sitting out for 2 days is going to read the same if it just came out of your tap.

and check a sample taken directly from the tank

p.s i did the ph test and it came to 7.6 but could it be higher? because thats the maximum that it can measure on the 6-7.6 scale? so should i do a high range ph too?

Yeah...do a high test, but it probably will be around 7.6 on that on too.

Ammonia is showing : 0
low range ph: 7.6
High range ph : doesnt really look like any if i had to choose one it would be 7.8
Nitrate:20-40 nearer to 20
Nitrite:0

thats good then i'll have to check the stats of water from the tap but i'll leave that until tomorrow
