as you know if you read my other thread, im doing pretty much daily 50-75% water changes doing a fish in cycle.
now my question is, the local water company are currently replacing pipes in my area and 3 days this week we are potentially going to have very poor water quality while the work happens, im using tetra safe de-clorination liquid as the water goes into the tank and I have an API test kit so I can check PH levels etc but given the risk of poor water quality im not sure what to do, I can't leave my tank with no water changes for a week, currnet ammonia is again 0.25 after a 75% change yesterday.

i have an option of going to my parents house about 5 minutes away and transporting water from there as there supply is not effected but this is not ideal as I wont be able to control the temperature as well as I do currently. - and of course the problem of transporting approx 150litres of water !

any suggestions ?

Buy bottled water? Or buy some buckets and fill with the fresh water now

I would carry on as normal given no other choice. If you're using a dechlor that removes trace metals and so on as well it should be ok. Will the water be safe for you to drink from the tap?

You could as suggested fill up some storage tubs now if you have any.

I would be more concerned about the ammonia and take my chances. That's just me.

Won't have time to fill any containers now as I'm at work so may just have to take a chance and yes the ammonia is my worry at the minute

We've been told to run the taps for a few minutes prior to drinking the water
