I would be grateful if somebody could elaborate on my water readings?

Water Levels

NO3 NITRATE - 20 Non toxic waste, suggested maximum value = 40
NO2 NITRITE - 0.5 toxic waste, keep as close to 0 as possible
PH - 8.0 basicly tells you if your water is acidic or alkaline, 7 being neutral
KH CARBONATE HARDNESS - 180 This and the one below measures the hardness of the water,
GENERAL HARDNESS - 60 I have never tested for hardness before and IMO you don't really need to unless you are keeping particular sensitive or wild caught species.

ammonia is the other critical test that you will need to do, this is also a toxic waste that builds up in the aquarium
