I posted earlier on how my water levels were high... and I don't know why I didn't do this earlier BUT!... I found out that my tap water is the main reason why I have a high level of ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate... it has it!!!!

I'm afraid of doing my water change constantly to try to lower the levels because I know it won't help much. Does anyone know of a good filter I can look into? I am a full-time student and so I do have a budget.

Thanks.

What are the reading from your tap?

Dechlorinators like Prime can also remove ammonia.

My ammonia was .25, my nitrite was about .25, and my nitrate was between 0-5ppm.

I just went to petsmart and got the Prime... hopefully it works but I'm sure it will because the guy that worked there really knows his stuff and that was the first thing he recommended once I explained to him my situation.
