My wife was cleaning and replanting the plants in betta tank. She spotted strange water something and ran and grabbed me and pointed to it. I calmly checked it out and puzzled at such thing. At first, it definitely looks like a praying mantis but I doubt it because I am not familiar with insects and their lifecycles. I checked its tail and it is completely different than any insect that I had seen in my life. I googled on it. Seem to be damselfly larvae but not sure 100% on this. Not sure if anyone had seen one. Yep, my wife found this in the aquarium! I am surprised and puzzled on this because I don't see any damselfly coming in our house, let alone laying the eggs in there!

So what do you think???

yep you are spot on with Damselfly larvae. It probably came in on some plants or as an egg on a plant. They don't bother most fish but will eat small ones (stuff that is smaller than it).
