Does anyone know if these can be kept in an aquarium or are they poisonous to fish? They are normally grown on ponds as a floating plant but die in winter due to cold.

yes they can mate i have 2 in mine and some more in other tanks and pond and they do very well and they wont poison your fish

I s'pose then you must have strong lighting in your tank??.... Mine thrive outside in the pond, but never been able to keep them alive in the tank.

yeah ive got a 5ft metal halide unit with three 250w not sure on the colour temp but they are very blue so fairly high say 15000k and 4 t5 blue actinics all plants do well just before they get eaten lol

Thanks for that guys :good: I'm going to keep them in the pond for summer then try them in a well lit aquarium over the cold months.
