So i'm new-ish to fishkeeping, and in my tank, I have 2 AngelFish. They were acting a bit weird, nipping at eat other, which they never do unless they are hungry or the tank isnt clean, I cleaned the tank 2 days prior so I fed them, and they kept nipping. So I tested the water and the Ph was 6.5, Nitrite was about 0ppm, Nitrate was 20-40ppm(The color was in the middle), Carbonite Hardness was about 20ppm, but the General Hardness was 180ppm. Im more worried about the General Hardness now. Should I clean the tank again but test the tap first or should I do something else.

Can we have a bit more information from you?

First of all, how long has the tank been set up, how big is it, and how long have the fish been in there?

It looks from your test results that you're using test strips, is that right?

How, exactly, are you cleaning the tank?

Yes, do please test the tap water and post the results; we do need to know if it's your tap water that's hard. or whether something in the tank might be raising the hardness.
