Water Colour -What should it be?

Your right fish keeper. Dunno why I said 3 months :dunno: think that might be for another sponge in the filter. Stupid me!

My water stays a yellow/brownish clear
but from what I hear the tinted water makes the fish feel more secure, and some people even intentionally color their water using Blackwater extract and the like.

My tank is extremely healthy, the color comes from using a lot of peat in my sbstrate, and carbon filtering does NOT remove it :) .

My water is crystal clear, but I wish I could get blackwater extract locally so I could tint it... I rather like the brown tea colour :D. Sadly, all my driftwood is done leeching tannins.

My water is crystal clear and I only have sponges and cermic noodles in my filters. That said, I do run aquaclear HOB filters which I am told are meant to be good at polishing the water.....

Even when I had droftwood the water was crystal clear....no colour tinge at all :D

Same for me - since I put AquaClears on my tanks they are usually crystal clear. I have one that has a slight green tint to it but it gets more sunlight than the others and has only been set up about 2 weeks.

Thank you all for ur input! :D

Would've replied sooner, but had pc problems!

My colour tint may be due to the slight over crowding in my tank!

The surplus guppies will be going to a new home on Friday!

Once again thanks for your input! :D
