When I put new water in a bucket with tap water conditioning, how long should I let it sit?

Ok, so I can just put the conditioner in and then the water to give it a nice stir and kaboom it can be added.
Thank you. I wasnt sure
The conditioners basically work instantly.

Try to aerate the water and dechlorinator for 5-30 minutes before using it. This allows the dechlorinator time to come into contact with all the chlorine/ chloramine molecules and neutralise them all. It also helps to get the dissolved gasses in the water back to normal levels.

Well, I won't be aerating the water... Its just more money AND the water flow that comes out of my outdoor faucet is so strong that it aerates it in a few seconds (no joke). But may let the water sit for 5 minutes before adding to the tank.

If you don't want to aerate it, stir it up for a couple of minutes using a kitchen whisk or spoon.

Ok! I'll probably get a new one for that purpose

I just add water to my tanks via the Python water changer. I add dechlorinator to the tank and then agitate the water as the water flows from the python hose end into the tank. I move the python end throughout the tank for a minute or two , then lower and rest the hose end toward the bottom of the tank. Works for me and my fish.

Would the conditioned water be well aerated when it’s pumped back to the tank?

I thought about gettng the python water changer but I just have a normal python siphon.

This thread properly introduced me to the python thing, always thought my hearing was going and couldn't hear "syphon" properly. This is life changing, forget water changing (😉).
Check out TFF member abbeysdad for cool videos on water changes.
He came up with a very clever twist the other day. He has a terrific blog with embedded videos. see below.
