Water Changes

Hi All,

I've a simple question here but one i cant seem to find the answer to.

I'm new to tropical fish keeping and have read most of the articles on this site for advice, which I have to say is great help for beginners like me.

My questions is..

When doing water changes how long should the new water that has had 'aqua safe' added settle before adding it to the tank??

Not long - a few seconds maybe if you stir it.

I just make sure its stirred well and up to temp, then straight in!

I wasn't sure and just to be safe after stirring i was leaving the water to settle for a couple of hours before placing in.
