water change

hi i am doin a water change i just want to know if it is ok to add water to my tank when the water is cold or should i warm it up somehow first to stop a sudden temperature change??

Stevie - you do want it as close to your tank temperature as possible.

Yeah try to get it at the tank temp so that you dont shock your fish.

ok il add some hot water to the bucket before i put it in the tank. 1 more thing is there any clorine in hot water because i am using a botle clorine remover and if there is no clorine in hot water i wouldnt want to put to much liquid in

I would still add the chloring remover. There is copper in hot water so whatch out if you have invertbrates.

Adding Dechlorinator will do more good than harm...Who keeps invertibrates ahahah. Unless you want them for Loach food!

Why ahahah? I have kept ghost shrimp and sanils (dwarf puffer food and occasionaly clown loach food) and I am about to get some amano shrimp.

thanks for the info. since i did the water change i have got a snail a shriml and a frog so thats for the extra info!!!!
