30% is usually the rule for water changes from what I have seen

well it DOES depend on what you have in there so you cant say you dont want an answer like that!


i do 10%-25% depending on what tank im doing.

theres nothing worse than asking a question and being answerd with a question !
i did state to be on the safe side
and if i use the maximum recomended then am i not giving my fish the optimum water conditions ?
and my post was posted in general chit chat so not hard to deduce i do not have very demanding fish.
but thankyou for youre reply but how often would one change 25-30%

and general chit chat means any kind of fish not the least demanding.



if you do jus have some simple community fish and your tanks quite well stocked then id do 20% a week.
