pH only tells you if your water is acidic, basic or alkaline.

If it's good or bad depends entirely what kind of fishes you are keeping! And usually "bad water" comes from other things than pH; like nitrite, ammonia, chloride etc...

If you have fishes that are kept in that, good, if not, bad.

What are you having?

Your water is perfectly fine. Perfectly acceptable to all but the pickiest fish.

Most fish will adapt to your pH whether its angels/tetras which prefer more acidic water or fish like mollies/platys that don't necessarily need acidic water. Things like driftwood and peat will help reduce your pH if you really need to but you don't to. Having a stable pH is more important than having one that fluctuates.

My tap water pH is 7.6 as well and all fish will be happy if you don't change your pH and your ammonia, nitrites remain 0 and your nitrates are low if you do weekly water changes.

Thats fine - mine is 7.6 and my fish are happy.
