It is very fustrating to what your fish die, especially when you try the best you can to help them. I moved all the sick fish to my 10 gallon fry tank , it is now going to be my QT tank. I wathced them for hours over the past couple days to try and figure out what was wrong, when I noticed some white slime on one of my sword almost like fungus but not as thick. I also got another suggestion of internal or external bacteria, so I went out and found some MarOxy it is made but Mardel and is a very good treatment for fungus and a wide varity of bacteria. Anyway the results are looking good. fins are up all the time on all but one fish, whose fin is up most of the time. and the white stuff is going away. Fish are looking better just after 24 hours. I guess I will now have to treat my 55 gallon as a few fish are starting to show signs in there, guess I did not move the sick fish fast enough.
I will remember about the ick in the gills, I read this somewhere but have never heard of anyone actually having this happen. Guess that could be very fustrating as well. Anyway I am still worried there is still something else in my 55 gallon as 1 of my algae eaters now have very big stomach and is sometime sitting on the bottom breathing rather fast and my cories eyes look a little popped out.
