today i purchased denitrol for my tank which is stil cycling with fish in it after a 50 percent water change i added 15ml to my tank..it sais on the back of it that denitrol..cleanses bacteria obsorbing ammonia and nitrite..speacial enzymes and cleaning bacteria breakdownthe waste of fish and other toxic waste..producing healthy balanced aquarium..basically the formuler is for faster tank cycling is what it sais as it has over 10,000,000,000 live bacteria and enzymes in the liquid bottle..just wondering was this a good idea to add to my tank for a faster cycle???

Personally I have never used anything to speed up the cycling process.

But from what I have heard is that any 'bacteria in a bag' can help, but rarely, as the bacteria has been transported for however long, not fed, and so on. But if it works then fantastic, but I wouldn't hold your hopes too high.

it also shows a graph on the bak of the bottle and the cycling proces with denitrol is awsome compared to just cycling your tank as normal

If it were made by Ronseal then I'd use it

*Joking*......"does what it says on the tin"....?

There goes another gallon of petrol in the LFS owners Merc.... ;)

Like bottled water....money for old rope in my opinion (and you did ask :p )

But if it works for you then that's ok.....personally, if it were bottled patience then I'd buy it :D

Basicailly it sounds like it's too good to be true. In all likelyhood, if it sounds too good to be true, it is too good to be true.

If it contains enzymes that git rid of ammonia and nitrite, it will hinder your cycle by starving your existing bacteria. Sad, but true.
