if you use live blackworms, make sure the water DOES NOT start turning pinkish orange, if it is, throw it away. i just found a sealed bag of blackworms, the water was black, and i puked 3 times just holding it because of the smell. the whole room smells and my brother almost puked just walking into the room. this isnt a small room either, its a living room about 20x15x9ft. if anyone live in the bay area and wants to buy some of stuff, come take a look. keeping blackworms is killing my experience with fish. the past 4 years of fishkeeping was fine until i discovered live blackworms  they are the best food imo, but they also killed the fish keeping experience for me because i always forget about them. my frogs dont eat things that dont move, so i cant stop using them

I can imagine they smelled pretty aweful, when i was a little kid i went fishing with my grandparents and accidentally left some of the live bait in the car on a very hot day for quite a few hours and it ended up smelling pretty horrendous  .

I want to setup a blackworm culture :( but I can only find an online store which want like £10 for 30 worms.

If you leave a microworm culture for about a month with a lid on that smells aswel lol

:good:
