Wanting to keep oscars but need help

Im getting a new tank soon! can't wait. I wondered if anyone could help me, its going to be at least 4ft in length, im wanting to keep 2 oscars and sailfin plec, is there anything else i could add to the tank without overcrowding as i know that oscars can reach 14". Would adding a red tail shark, some armoured shrimps and a cat fish be ok? Im thinking of there adult sizes as im not planning on changing my tank anytime soon. Thank you.

how many gallons would the tank be? 2 oscars could be kept in a 75g, but not sure about adding a pleco. might be too much waste

To keep one oscar you need at least a 55 gallon to itself.

In a 4ft tank, most likely a 55 gallon us. you can sometimes keep a single oscar, if it grows to 14 inches you should give it away , or get a bigger tank, as a standard 55 gallon or 4 ft tank is only 12 inches deep.

Adding another oscar would be too much on the bioload and not enough room for them, they would prolly fight and one would end up with alot of stress and die.
Oscars and plecos are both HUGE waste productors, so if you do keep both, preferabley in a bigger tank you would need to have great filteration and keep up on regular waterchanges.

ok well thank you, after looking at you replys ive decided to go for a bigger tank at 105 us gallons, that should be plenty enough for a pair of adults am i correct? and my plec.

In a 105 gallons you can certainly do a pair of Oscars and a pleco. At first the tank will stay pristine no matter what, but as those guys grow filter and tank maintenance will become essential - you'll be facing a heck of a lot of waste. It will help if you don't overfeed them as most Oscar owners do (because they always look extremely hungry and the owners are inevitably impatient to have a big fish). The healthiest growth is slow and steady - it's not a race. And finally, though this may be redundant, always remember that a pair of Oscars is not just two randomly chosen Oscars.

Oh yeah, make sure you get that pleco at a decent size - the Oscars would seriously outgrow them if you get them all the same size.

I would be careful with the sailfin as they can break the 18" mark and head for 2 feet, at which point you will need an extremely wide tank.
