Hi all!

I have some Java Ferns that I currently have stuck into the substrate at the back of my tank that is growing little plantlets off them. I'm wanting to "detach" the plantlets and attach their roots on to a small peice of bodwood (roughly 4-5inches long).

Where is the best place to get hold of smaller peices of wood? My LFS seems to only have larger peices...

Also what is the best way to detach the plantlets from the parent plants without causing the parent or child plants any damage? Then once removed what is the best way to attach them to the bogwood.

Thanks in advance!!

There used to be a seller on ebay that sold nice small peices, But sadly no longer there.
Nowadays i tend to look in the LFS' that keep the Bogwood in Bins. Try Aquarist Classifieds to see if anyone has any near you,

Search for jjcaquatics on a well known auction site...lol. They do some amazing bits of wood. All sorts of shapes and types.

I would say def. go with elastic bands to hold them on-trying to tie thread/fishing wire is a nightmare!
