Walmart

IS DISPICABLE..... I knew it would be a bad idea, but I wandered into their fish department. There they had about six or seven of my beloved Dragon Gobys in this tiny square tank with no gravel, no plants, NOTHING! And all their fish are KEPT THAT WAY! Geez, they'd be better off at Petsmart, at least they'd have a plant. It flames my feathers because I want a dragon goby real bad and the LFS all told me they can live in fresh water, which isn't the case. They're brackish, and I can't set up a seperate brackish tank. Still though, I wanted to buy all of them from Walmart. Left there in a hurry and will never go in the pet department again. Half of their stock must die off before they can sell it! :angry:

The walmart here has red belly pacus in one of those small tanks. I don't see how they get away with it because they are illegal to sell in this state. IMO they are the bottom of the barrel when it comes to LFS.

UGH! This is *EXACTLY* like my Wal-Mart before they just recently stopped selling fish. EXACTLY!!!! :angry:

They kept their female Bettas in tiny little jars where the water was so DIRTY, the fish had almost NO FINS LEFT, and they were STRESSED. D:

I also mistakinly visited walmarts fish section once and could'nt believe how bad it was. EVERY tank had at least 10 dead/rotting fish in it and all the living fish were on the verge of death

Yup every wal art is like that but mine just changed. Yes they have a real fish person incharge of the fish he honestly cares for them the have little decorations and falke plants in the tank with gravel too. The look happy for walmart fish.

So really it depends on the staff and if they care most don't. I talked to the guy that works at my waltmart and he was perrty cool totaly changed the fish department for the better.
