Walmart

I know one of the Super Wal-Mart's here look like they are scaling back on live fish and hopefully they'll stop selling live fish altogether. I am guilty of buying fish there. They were the only place I could get albino tiger barbs in town so I had to get some to round out my school of them.

I have been impressed with the couple petsmarts I've been in. Most the fish I've seen there look like they've been kept really good. They had a ton of full sized Tiger Barbs the other day I was there. My only complaint is that their cards for the fish are off. One of the cards said recommended tank size for Tiger Barbs is 5 gallons which is totally wrong.

You can keep tiger barbs in a 5 gallon tank. If you read fish books and different fish websites nearly each and every one of them has different information on how to keep fish.

Well, maybe a tiger barb in 5 gallons. but not a school of them, which is how they should be kept. Tiger barbs get obviously frustrated in groups of less than six, and they show this by nipping at things. When kept properly, they're much less aggressive.

Cheers,

Neale
