Wait Hold The Phone About Nitrite!

If I add 5ppm of ammonia tonight and it processes within 12 hours but my nitrites are sky high, should I wait until my nitrites are at 0ppm to add more ammonia? Or once my Ammonia is at 0ppm add more ammonia......and the nirite will drop by themselves.....

My nitrites are off the chart and have been for over i would say week and a half to two weeks and i am wondering why

No, keep adding ammonia at the same rate you have been doing... keep this up until 12hrs before you add fish, obviously only after nitrates have fallen and after a good water change.

ok good thats what i was hoping you would say. Its just this is taking so long and IM ADHD....
