Violet Snakehead

Here is a couple of my new boys.

Fresh in the tank, so colors not properly up yet, but will post more pics when they have chilled out.

violet snakehead = channa barca
golden cobra snakehead = channa aurantimaculata

are they both in the same tank? if they are they will beat the living crap out of each other, unless they are a bonded pair which they don't look to be as they look quite young!
id love to have a couple of these one day but dont they get to about 16"?
and need to pair off like some other channa!
they are meant to be quite violent towards each other!

Nah, here in Japan Violet snakehed = Auranti

They are both at about 7-8" at the moment, and they are together in a tank. There is no aggro between them, and they havee been kept in a tank together by the original owner for quite a while and seem to get along ok for now.
Have a mate looking for a SH at the mo, so if they get crappy with each other I could donate one to him I suppose.
