Hello, everyone:
I just joined from a link on a triops site.
I don't have any questions right now, but
I've recently obtained a "Violet Golby" aka "dragon fish" and have to say this is the coolest fish?, I've ever had.
the way it moves, the way it tries to rip my sealant out of the corner. The "no fear" attitude he stares me
down with, not to mention the lung-like head movements, makes me wonder if this isn't some link
between fish and say--serpent? I love the way it swims backwards. Anyone else enjoy these?

funny enough I want two but haven't seen them since I had two mistakenlly in a freshwater set up about 5 years ago

where did you get yours?is it eating ago and whats the salinity of your water?

Doh! you mean they aren't freshwater fish??
They were breaking down a tank at Walmart. I paid $3.97 for one that has doubled in size in just 2 months.
I've seen them at Petsmart for $7.99.
I do sprinkle a little sea salt in my tank. It clouds quickly so I put softeners in it. I don't know how to set up a sophisticated tank so I'll been reading from this forum with interest. Thanks jojo

I would definately read up as they are certainly not freshwater. sorry
