Hi

Just had a search of the forum but didnt find an answer. What are vinegar eels? I am in the UK so do we call them something else? I have no real need for them as i see they are mainly for feeding fry, but had never heard of them and was interested. I also saw you can set up a culture to produce them yourself, would love to know how for the future.

TIA

Jon

Turbatrix aceti (vinegar eel) are small (2mm) nematodes, which live in weakly acidic water - they need to be cultured in a special cider vinegar solution and fed pieces of rotting apple.
