OK, day after Live 8, we decided to go on the London Eye and here's a few pics of some of

the truly stunning architecture.

I'll name what I can, I'll be happy to be corrected by the Londoners when I get it wrong and

they can fill in the gaps for the stuff I cant remember.

Great photos.

All that green in the last picture is Buckingham Palace grounds.... The Queen's back yard.

Here's a satallite photo courtesy of GoogleEarth.

Fabulous pics there Arfie. Makes me want to come back for a visit. I love the look of all the old buildings. And all those castles... stunning.
One day I'll go back!

Fantastic! I've always wanted to go to England......in fact, anywhere in Europe.

Nice pics again Arf

But is it always dark in England? No offence, but all the pics I see of England are kind of dark and drab and sorta, well, grey!!
No offence taken, yes we do get bright sunny days, yesterday and today are lovely (got burned yesterday), but mostly you are right, it is grey, but thats what makes us such a colourful bunch :S London is usually covered in Smog so it's always grey :p

I may nip out this afternoon to the peak district and take a few pics of the wonderful scenery in sunshine for you all as proof that we do get sunshine sometimes.
