Formerly: Catfish Are Cool
Just got a video of my south american bumblebee cats which are now feeding confidently in the afternoon. This was taken at about 7:15 this evening. Their feeding on a mixture of brineshrimp, daphnia, and bloodworm (think theres some other bits and bbs in there too). People say their highly nocturnal, but I have found that in a group, in a species tank they will soon come out in the afternoon for food and i would highly reccomend haveing a go with them. Being kept alone, or in a community tank or both may result in nocturnal only behaviour. Another great thing about them is they allways seem to have mini arguments, and they do seem quite terratorial. The biggest seems to control the right hand section of bogwood, and the lightesrt coloured (I suspect a differant locale or subspecies) seems to control the left. The other two mill about whereever they can get some cover. Anyway, heres the vid, click to watch.
