Hi,
my white PK is very ill :( He was ok last night, ate his food with no problems, he's been a little less active in the last couple of months but i thought that was down to old age, he spawned about 6 weeks ago with no problems at all -_-

Anyway, just gone to feed him and he's led on the bottom of his tank, on his side (he looked dead!!!), also, as he's white he's a little more see-through than most, and all his insides look black, and the little 'nose holes' on his head also look filled with black stuff :/

I've done a water change, and added some salt to his tank but not sure whats wrong with him so dont want to medicate! He has water changes every few days, with the other bettas and they all seem fine...

Any ideas?

It might be internal parasites. Does his belly seem shrunken in? If it does it might be TB. My best guess if he's losing colour and stuff would be to add some maracyn 1 & 2

Sorry to hear he's not well Jess :/

Is he the heavily opaque one? if so then you know that is a sign of liver desease and it could be what is making him poorly. Worth doing a search on it to find out.

Good luck :good:

He died :(

It was the white/gold/red one so could have been liver disease i suppose.. If he carried the opaque gene?

I just looked in the fry tank and i still have 4 lovely babies left from him so thats good i suppose. We lost all our power for about 5 days last week so i thought i'd have lost them all, but four are still alive and healthy

They're varying in size a bit, the biggest is about 1/2 an inch :)

They're all looking a bit metallic at the moment though  Shiny white babies
