Hay i have the total same problem with my female i have just posted a topic about it...but also bout my male guppy....im unsure y they are not dropping but it doesn't make sense to me either???
like u said good health good water? so y...is she in a breeding net or tank this could cause stress and even for her to hold on or abort the fry!!!
"H"

Hay again have u got a pic of her or can u get one? and post it on here?

have u got a pic of her or can you get one of her?

ive found out with my guppys, which also have the good water quailty and good health, that either the time just isnt right yet or she is getting stressed,i always turn the lights off/darken the area shes in and it works every time i have 2 females that are both exactly the same...ive watched them and if the males are chasing her she will not let them go.Hope this helps

Tell your friend to try to keep the lights off, add the salt, do water changes and also make sure there are lots of hiding places for both the fry and mother. My fish like to go into their cave to have their fry. Also what other type of fish are in with her? Maybe the other fish are stressing her out.
