Very New To Fish, Need Advice Please!

Hi there, we are very new fishkeepers and I really wish I'd found this forum before we bought our tank because we have a 30L biorb - a search on here has revealed that they aren't the most popular of things! Now I wish we'd gone for one of those Bio Cubes that have been mentioned. We have very limited space though. Oh well if the fish don't die maybe we'll get one of those and put a betta in the biorb (see I have been paying attention to your posts!). Anyway, we currently have four fish - two Mollys and two Platys - do you think we can fit any more in? A shrimp would be nice to do a bit of cleaning and I love the Neon barbs but understand they should be in groups of 6-8 so I assume there isn't room for that many? They had some lovely guppies at the lfs too. Any advice gratefully received!

Im thinking you probably couldnt fit anymore fish in there but shrimps would be nice! If anyone corrects me about putting more fish in I would reccomend putting in another platy to make the ratio 2 females to 1 male! Do you mean neon tetras?? They are very stunning and i have 3 at the moment which will shortly be moving and will be getting 3 more friends!

I wouldn't buy any more fish just yet. What sex are your Mollies and Platies?. Both of these fish can reach the best part of three inches. Then there's the matter of fry. I really would go for the biggest tank you can accomodate.
