I want to get some low light plants for now, as I only have 0.69 wpg of lighting in my aquarium. What are some good suggestions that are easy to care for?

Well, I could change it anytime. There is usually about 6 hours of light.

Is it a regular 29g? I'd seriously consider upgrading your lighting for that tank. I really don't think 0.69 WPG is going to cut it for much of anything except diatoms, and they're brown. :p

Not to mention that they are also algae.

Maybe java fern? :/

I want to upgrade my lighting, but I have absolutely no money right now, and the system I want/need is 250$ Canadian.

It's never a matter of wanting, you NEED new lighting. It's always NEEDING. At least that makes it easier to convince myself, anyways. "I NEED a new 8g nano...I NEED 4 boxes of laterite...I NEED that $50 betta from Aquabid..."

See, much better. What system are you thinking of anyway? Can we have a link to it? We can then see if it'll work. Maybe we can save you some money.

The link doesn't work anymore. It was an Arcadia style one or something.

Possibly you could suggest a correct fitting that has atleast 2wpg of watts for a 20 gallon?

What are the dimensions for a 29g? That's the size of your tank, right. Why not go for 2WPG for 29, that's about 60W.

The dimensions ar 30x16. Can you possibly find me a light that fits? I've been looking, but haven't been able to find anything but that.

I got a picture of it actually.

Is there an atleast 60 watt lamp available for that size? It is 24". My LFS only had 25 watts at the most.

Where are you? I'm aweful with UK brands, since I live in the US.

I can find tons of light fixtures in the US with about 65W and for about $60 that are 30" long. Compact flourescent fixtures, but I don't know about UK brands or where you shop for fish supplies online. I should really learn, though.

Sorry,

llj

I don't understand how to add a light fixture. How will it start?
