Yeah one week where you DIDNT monitor the water stats

If you had of done you would have noticed and sorted the problem sooner

Im not going to have an arguement, because your just not willing to reason

I am mearly trying to explain where it has all gone wrong so as it doesnt happen again, but you keep babbling on about how well fed he is

i have only said once about his food....i check the water every sunday...so yes 1 week...and every week the water has been perfect...if all fish and water look perfect why would i do a water check before the sunday...there was no sign any thing was wrong until riley went on his side...then i acted straight away...dont you think i feel bad enough this has happend to him...i cant turn the clocks back.....i can only learn by my mistakes and make sure it does not happen again

Riley is a bit worst today...has not tried to get up today at all...last night he tried to swim...but was kind off spinning slow...

I think this thread has run it's course. I think it also proves that people don't read a thread before (or don't really pay attention to what they do read) they add their 2 cents worth. Here in the end, people that have been here posting for the entire thread are asking where the other tank was. She said that she had to rehome both the other fish when she moved house and that the new homes weren't large enough for the tanks (post #75). It is fine to tell someone that they are over stocked but that does nothing to help heal the sick fish. It sounds as if nothing can be done but it took 5+ pages and 4+ days for that to come out.

And Sharon, on your part, you have been asked on at least 6 or 8 occasions what your water parameters are and have never answered that. Saying your water is crystal clear means nothing. Ammonia, nitrite and nitrate are colorless so the water can be in miserable condidtion and still be crystal clear. Saying the ammonia is high doesn't help. To me, .5 ppm of ammonia is high because it should always be 0. To you, that may be nothing and you see 5 ppm as high. It's hard to judge a problem unless the exact water parameters are known. You also mentioned that the ammonia was still creeping up higher after a 90% water change (actually 3 in 3 days according to your first post). That is a definite sign of a major problem in the tank. Waste, dead inhabitants, plants, to many fish, what ever, something is driving the ammonia up. If the fish have all been in there all along, I doubt it's the stocking level suddenly doing it. Most likely, something dead or a filter not functioning properly. Could well be a result of poor gravel vacuuming with the UGFs.

I have also moved the other new thread into the emergency section where hopefully, you will get the help you need. And for those that have made it know that she is overstocked, she is well aware of that so if you don't have some useful advice as how to cure her fish, please just let it be.
