As i said in another post my male golden severum had developed a disease.First of it looked like white spot, then i noticed they were small growths. Now it looks like he has a big tumor underneath his head which expands more and more everyday. You can't actually see it though, the white growths are still there on his scales however. It's so big that today his mouth is locked open  .I don't think there is any treatments for this, but if there is could you please say!

Thanks

Hmm well I don't have any experience with fish tumors, but in humans and other mammals, they can't grow noticably every day. This may be different than a tumor. Maybe a parasite that is building beneath the skin rapidly. Can you take a picture?

O and if for some reason he dies before we can help him, please don't dispose of him. Cut the tumor open and tell us what it looks like was inside. This way we can help more in the future. But for now, if you can take a pic, maybe we can help more.

I quickly went out to day and got some treatment, didn't have much time so i quickly grabbed it.Interpet #9.I doubt it will do anything, the female was bloated and wasn't eating aswell so hopefully it will do something for her.  :-( :(

Sorry about the mouldy peas.I fed them yesterday but they didn't eat thme and i forgot to take them out... I'll think i will be euthinising him soon

She dosn't look well, good luck.

I've seen this before. Unless it looks unhappy I wouldn't jump on euthanising it. I've seen something like that with a freinds gourami and once on the internet. In both cases it went away after trying various treatments. But We never found out what it was. Also neither of those fish looked very unhappy. But if yours is suffering, then it's a safe route to go. Also I would reccoment freezing it and then cutting open the tumor growth just to see whats inside. This could help us in future diagnoses.

I hope he still has a chance, one of my first ever cichlid so i have had him for 3+ years.Seems so strange that it suddenly came on.What treatment do you reccomend?

I would try a bacterial med for now.
Good luck.
Growths that look like a caulifower or a cluster of berries are viral.

I'm going to get some clove oil tommorow. Before i do it i will psot new pics of his state though. It's bigger and worse.Seems to be emerging.Looks like he's bleeding aswell

Sorry bless him.
Think it might be best not nice.

He's dead  On a quick inspection the lump had holes through it and when i poked it clear liquid came out.I have frozen him.Now what did you want me to do organized chaos?

Bless him R.I.P.
Did you notice any parasites with having the holes.
You could phone a vet to see if they can run some tests on him.

I didn't really look at him, fished him out, noticed the wholes then put him in the freezer ( sounds funny doesn't it  ).WOuld it cost for them to carry out tests on him?
