My longfin blue danio, last night, was looking incredibly plump last night, and still looks the same this morning. Abnormally so. She was sitting on or near the bottom last night, and she would chase all the other danios away, though she left the cories and the pleco alone. Anyone else have problems like this? I've just had a mystery nitrite spike, which has been going on for a few days, so could that be why?

Tank: 33 Gallons (3'L X 1'W X18"T)
Ammonia:0
Nitrites:0.3 (Was at 0.5 yesterday, and 0.8 the day before that)
pH:7.2
KH:3
GH0
Fish: 1 longfin blue danio, 4 zebra danios, 5 corydoras cats, 1 Spotted BN Pleco
Plants: Quite a few, can't recall all the names right now.
Decorations: There are 2 pieces of wood in the tank, but I know they do not affect the water chemisty at all, as they have been tested both out of and inside the aquarium with no issues.
Chemicals: None. I used some Jungle Parasite Clear about a weel ago, but nothing since that time. All the medication is gone I believe. I do have carbon in the filter.
If there's anything I missed, please lemme know.

they are very hardy fish so probably not unlees it was a sudden change, she may be holding eggs or has a nasty case of bloat, females are normaly very fat though, maybe she ate a little much, ive seen my zebras eat a fish pellets bigger then their heads!

Her behavior is definately not normal, and it also sounds like she is bloated. If you look at her from the top down, are her scales sticking out like a pinecone?

If she is still eating, i would recomend first trying feeding her a pea, which can help with constipation which is one possible cause. If that doesn't help, my next guess would be a bacterial infection. Because the symptoms are so vauge, it will be hard to know which antibiotic is best, so I would go with something broad spectrum, such as kanacyn (aka kanamycin, k-mycin) or a combination of Maracyn 1 AND 2. Tetracycline is also an option, however it can destroy the bio filtration, which since you are already having problems with it, i would be very careful.

I have looked down on her, and I don't see any scales poking out at all. She appears to be very healthy aside from the huge belly, which I KNOW isn't normal at all. I will try feeding her a pea, though, and hopefully she will take it.

Well, she ate some of the pea, as did all my other guys. Hopefully that will solve the problem. :)
