Hello everyone...

I have an AquaStyle 620 90litre tank in which I'm keeping 6 Male Guppies and 7 Male Platys. All different colours. I had no idea how much I was going to love this whole Tropical fish thing :)
I've done loads of research on here and elsewhere on the keeping of an all male tank. In fact I've done little else with my life for the last 2 months! I just love watching them swimming about. For the most part...

The problem I have is that 3 of the Guppies seem to be trying to hump anything else in the tank pretty much all of the time.
It's pretty stressful to watch so I can only imagine what it's like for the other fish! One of them in particular was the victim.
It looks like the colour is draining from his tail. I'm guessing this isn't a good thing? Now that's happened they've moved onto another fish. I think the hounding has taken it's toll though, he just seems to swim round in very small and slow circles...

Is it a very bad thing that this is going on? I hate the thought that my fish are unhappy.

As far as water conditions go I'm keeping on top of that with twice daily water tests and 10% changes whenever Nitrite appears.

Is there anything I can do? No females though thanks, I've read what happens then!

Thanks, Chris.

As stressful as it may look to you, male livebearers are almost constantly looking to breed and a re fairly indiscriminate in their choices. Keep an eye on it but my bet is that it will settle down soon enough.
