Can i feed my fish on celery stalks or will it do them harm? I read that pretty much any green veg is ok is that generalisation true?
Also is fruit a no no as i cant see any reference to it apart from melon rind. I was thinking of grapes and apple maybe but not citrus fruits

I have seen thin cut orange slices fed to fish but I have never seen celery stalks fed to them.

Courgette
Cucumber
Peas (lightly cooked and deshelled)
Sweet Potato
Green Beans
Melon/Melon rind

Apple
Aubergine
Avocado
Broad Beans
Broccoli
Squash
Bell pepper(not chilis)
Cauliflower
Carrot
Mango
Mushroom common plecs love mushroom- let it float, they will reach it
Potato
Spinach

This or a similar list can be found on most plec- specific websites, I have just copied most of the veg listed.

Just try anything and everything! - your fish will let you know what they like - every fish is different!

What, bog standard frozen peas? i'll give it a go

If you are gonna use peas then you need to crush and crumble them up real small - fish are greedy and will get them stuck in their mouths otherwise!

Also give very finely chopped muscles and prawn if you ever have any yourself to eat- also mine are very partial to a little flaked tuna fish if im having a tuna fish sandwich, or if im cooking minced beef (raw) they like that too!!
