hi all

today i cut my vals for the first time, on a 45 degree angle, and a fair few of the leaves seemed to like air bubbles from the cut, like an artificial pearling.

is this something to be worried about?

cheers for ne help

mine has done this before when its been broken or cut and it was fine after wards.

o ok kool, thanx for the help,

i thought it was all there nutrients and carbon dioxide escaping lol, and that i had killed them.

Most plants do this when you cut them. Its actually an experiment I show kids at school with cabomba to collect the oxygen! It is because you have cut the vessels within the leaf which are carrying the gas around the plant, also you have damaged cells there which contrbutes to the effect. Dont fret by it, it will heal itself and be growing again in no time.
