Validation

Hi

I'm Jue from England. I've been trying to get validated for a couple of days but for some reason I've not received any emails. I've checked that the address is correct and it is, nor are they going into my junk mail folder. Someone mentioned in an earlier post to me that I could PM one of the moderators, but it won't let me do this.

Is there anyone there that can sort this out for me please?

on the very first page ( http/www.fishforums.net/ ) in the top right hand corner, there should be a resend validation link. Click this and it should resend the email to your inbox.

Thanks, unfortunately I've already tried this 3 times and it's still not come through. I can't understand why it's not working as I've double checked my email address is correct and I'm receiving emails from elsewhere.

Hi Jue,

The only one who has access to the controls necessary to manually validate your account is William, our Admin, and he's away on vacation over the holidays.

I'm having a similar problem getting my email from the forum, and this is after all being fine for several years. First look in your bulk mail folder to be sure that it hasn't gone in there. If it's not there, you might have to do what I did for a while until William returns and straightens things out. This is, start another account using an email address that will receive the one from the forum. Gmail works and I can get you an invitation to open one there if you need it.

When you have done that, just post as usual and I will make sure William knows that there is someone else who is having the same problem I am.

Please let me know what you do, or if you need an invitation to open a Gmail account.

Thanks very much for your help. I have got a hotmail address that I can use if I need to. Do you know if it is possible for me to change it over and then change it back when the problem is sorted or will I need to set up a new user each time?

If they are not in your bulk mail folder. There may be another explanation. Are you with AOL if so for some reason I have had problems with certain forums. Try registering with Yahoo which always recieves the Emails.

It's up to William, but he's usually fair. If he can merge the accounts, I'm pretty sure he will.

Thanks. I'm with BT Internet and trying to receive it through Outlook Express. I've just checked my settings again and can't see anything in there that would stop me receiving any or certain emails.

It's really odd because I've had no problems other than this.

I've just had an idea - I can receive my BT emails through Yahoo so if I can get it on there I can validate without needing to go through Outlook Express.
