Ok, well as I am filling out forms for my 2 week summer riding camp, and my 1 week out of state horse show, it suddenly hit me... who is going to take care of my scaled babies?

Well, there's always my parents...who hate animals...but I guess I could urge them to feed them every day.

2 weeks is a long time for them to go without water changes, considering Dory is in a 2.5, my frog is in a 1 gallon, and my boys' 30 gallon has no filter.

And there is the issue of them being fed frozen foods and peas, I KNOW no one in this house will do that.

Today at my lfs I saw this thing that resembled a HOB filter, only you filled it with fish food, and every 12 hours it rotated, releasing some food into the water. Are these any good? Because my idea was to buy those betta flakes and get one for each compartment of the divided tank.

Any suggestions? Grr, why didn't I think of this? :X

i would like ask someone at your LFS if they wanna help you :) they could some swing buy or you can send them on vacation to there house :/ thats all i can say

is there noone who can look after them
i have the smae problem ill be away for 2 weeks and have noone to look after my tanks

Luckily my cousin is helping me out while I'm away, I'm leaving very detailed instructions for her though. So hopefully things will be ok. As for the feeders, I have heard of a lot pf people that don't like them, but I'm not sure why. I myself have never used them so I'm not really sure. Goodluck finding someone who will help you out.

I'm just afraid the automatic feeders will release too much food... :/

I know people don't like those blocks that release stuff into the water, I don't either.

Hmm, the idea of asking my lfs is a good one, but I can guarentee they will charge me. and I'm broke. I would send some on vacation too, but the problem is, I don't have anything to send them in, as their tank is 30 gallons. I *could* put them in bowls, but I am uncomfortable with that.

welll feeders will pollute the water fast :) so if anyone ANYONE doesnt change there water... you screwed with them... well 2 weeks, they may get sick bu they CAN go that long with out a change.

OOOOOOOOoooo i just had a great idea. There is this ad in my phone book for "aquarium maintenance" maybe I can con them into cleaining my tanks on the weekend I'm gone. They say they do saltwater, but it can't be that different.
